One list, sorted by our overall score out of 10. Scores weigh daily reliability, the app, running costs and how the animals took to the device; the review explains each one.
The Halo Collar 5 costs $599 plus a Pack Membership, and it promises to fence a large yard with nothing but satellites and sound cues. We weighed the claims against independent tests.
The SureFlap reads your pet's existing microchip, so no collar tag is needed. We look at how well that keeps strays out, where owners report lockouts, and what the Hub and batteries add to the cost.
The Alpha T 20 costs $299.99 but needs a $800-odd Garmin handheld to work. We compare its 9 mile radio link and 68 hour battery with the cellular trackers.
The Tractive DOG 6 starts at $69 but needs a subscription to work at all. We add up the plans, the battery claims and the independent accuracy tests to see if it is still the best value.
At $699 the Litter-Robot 4 sits $100 below the Litter-Robot 5 and $200 below the 5 Pro. We lay out what the extra money buys, where the 4 misbehaves and who should skip it.
Whisker's Feeder-Robot costs about three times a basic Wi-Fi feeder. What you get is a 32-cup hopper, an anti-jam design, schedules stored on the unit and no subscription, but no camera and no wet food.
At $89.99 the Petlibro Granary keeps feeding on its stored schedule when Wi-Fi drops. We check the specs, the support pages and independent tests for what could still go wrong.
PetPace 3.0 tracks pulse, temperature, respiration and stress, and bundles GPS and 24/7 vet chat into a mandatory plan. We checked whether that is worth paying for with an older or chronically ill dog.
Fi claims up to three months per charge, which no clip-on tracker can touch. The catch is a mandatory membership, a collar you cannot swap for your own, and tracking that is less snappy than Tractive's.
Petkit's $99.99 fountain pairs a 3 L tank and cordless UV-C pump with dishwasher-safe parts. We look at the 83-day battery claim, filter costs and what UV-C really does.
The Max Pro 2 keeps the AI camera and multi-cat recognition of Petkit's flagship, with a bigger doorway, for $250 less than the Ultra. We weigh what you give up, and the video history that costs extra.
The Granary 2 Vision adds a 1080p camera and cat recognition to Petlibro's 5 liter feeder for $60 over the base model. Live view is free, but stored video and health tracking cost extra every year.
A motorised, tag-activated pet door with dual steel deadbolts that retrofits over an existing flap. We weigh the $699 price, the tag dependence and the missing battery.
Tractive's CAT 6 Mini is a 32 g collar-integrated GPS tracker with a breakaway clasp. It suits outdoor cats of 3 kg and up, but the battery asks for a charging habit and the plan is the real bill.
Maven clips a 14 g sensor to your pet's collar and tracks breathing, scratching and sleep. We look at the plan cost, the published accuracy study and what it cannot do.
A microchip-locked bowl keeps greedy pets off prescription food. We cover the hub cost, the month of lid training, weighing accuracy and the app faults reviewers hit.
Petkit's $145.99 feeder holds two foods and watches the bowl with a 1080p camera. We test the idea for mixed diets and two-cat homes, and where it falls short.
Petlibro's $599.99 open-top Luma has a 1080p camera, up to 10 cat profiles and a carbon-filter fan claimed to trap 97% of odour. It also has a known jam fault and a video plan that costs $95.99 a year.
High Tech Pet's PX-1 Wi-Fi patio door lifts a locking panel for a collared pet and costs $874.99. It is a Medium door for pets up to 25 lbs, so big dogs need the PX-2, and the wall version is $295 cheaper.
The $89.99 Dockstream 2 is a cordless, pumpless cat fountain that logs how much your pet drinks. We looked at what the app can reveal, and where single-pet tracking runs out.
The Mini 360 swaps the big Furbo's 100-treat tank for a 2K camera in a 0.3 lb body. We check what you give up, what the $35 bundle really costs and where sources disagree.
Invoxia's 37 g collar tag adds radar heart and breathing monitoring to live GPS. We check the real battery life, the 35-country coverage and the plan that unlocks tracking.
At $79.99 the Bites 2 Lite is one of the cheapest ways to toss a treat to a pet from your phone. It has a 160 degree lens, but no built-in Alexa, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only and a paid history plan.
SpotOn's $899 Omni keeps containment free of any subscription and suits rural land. But it is the older model: Nova adds accuracy, battery and tree-cover gains for $100 more.
The CatGenie Whoosh washes waste away through a toilet or laundry drain, so there is no drawer or bag to empty. The price is a water-line install, a bathroom-sized footprint and a steady supply bill.
Sure Petcare's app-connected cat flap adds remote locking, curfews and in/out logs to a microchip flap, for about $200 plus a Hub sold separately. We look at who gets real value from that and who does not.
Sure Petcare's microchip-reading bowl logs every drink per cat. We weigh what that data can and cannot tell you, the hub you must buy, and the C batteries.
Furbo's $54 price needs a Nanny plan, while the camera alone is $184. We check what still works free, what the subscription adds and when the cheap deal turns expensive.
The S1 Pro bundles clippers, brushes and a nail grinder with an 11,000 Pa vacuum for $139.99. The shedding tools earn praise, but the quoted 50 dB noise figure does not match measured readings, and the nail grinder struggles.
Oneisall's $79.99 LM5 pairs a 12,000 Pa vacuum with a brush set to pull loose hair off a shedding dog. It is a decent home deshedding tool, but it is not a replacement for a professional groom.
The Litter-Robot 5 Pro adds dual cameras and per-cat recognition for $200 over the Litter-Robot 4, plus a Whisker+ subscription. We weigh it against reported bugs.
Petcube's Cam 360 pans 350 degrees, sees 30 feet in the dark and talks both ways for $34.99. Live viewing is free, but replay, pet alerts and vet chat sit behind the Petcube Care plans.
Neakasa's $379.99 open-top box fits cats up to 33 lb and skips the tunnel that scares shy ones. We weigh that against reported sensor faults and fussy litter rules.
PetSafe's SmartSpin copies the rotating-globe idea at $399.99, against $699 for a Litter-Robot 4. It has a 6-liter sealed drawer and a low 12 inch entry, but tuning, litter choice and Wi-Fi need care.
Petlibro's $99.99 Dockstream RFID tells up to five cats apart by collar tag and logs each one's drinking. It costs only about $10 more than the cordless Dockstream 2, but needs a wall plug, a collar and a short filter schedule.
The $229.99 iFetch Too launches standard tennis balls up to 40 feet and asks your dog to reload it. We looked at how fast dogs learn it, how long it lasts, and what to watch for indoors.
PetSafe's $134.99 Wi-Fi feeder holds 24 cups and spreads bigger meals over 15 minutes in Slow Feed mode. That helps with gulping, though not as much as the name suggests, and meals of 1/8 cup cannot be slowed at all.
The original iFetch launches golf-ball-sized tennis balls 10, 20 or 30 feet, which suits a small dog in a flat. It works as described, but the balls, the training curve and the plug-in power hold it back.
Petkit's $379.99 enclosed dryer promises 42 dB, warm airflow and auto shut-off for cats and small dogs. We check drying times, safety claims and who should skip it.
The SmartDoor Connected adds per-pet schedules, a four-mode lock and phone alerts to a collar-key pet door. It costs $349.99 for the medium, runs on D or C batteries, and wants 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Petlibro's One RFID feeder costs $149.99 and opens its lid only for a collar tag. But it syncs with a single tag, reads no microchips and closes in one to five seconds, so it beats SureFeed on price only for one protected cat.
Enabot's $159.99 egg-shaped robot drives around the house with a 2K camera, a laser and two-way audio. It reaches rooms a fixed cam cannot, but it is no autonomous patrol bot and rugs stop it.
At $799.99 the Purobot Ultra seals waste into bags and watches your cat through a rotating camera. We checked whether that earns a Litter-Robot sized price, and where owners say it breaks.
SATELLAI packs LTE tracking, unlimited virtual fences and AI health alerts into one 6.5 oz collar. The hardware is ambitious, but the price, the plan and the battery claims need a close look.
Petlibro's Scout is a $79.99 1080p pan-and-tilt camera that names up to five pets. Live view is free, but history and AI summaries need a plan from $95.99 a year, and independent testing found the recognition shaky.
Cheerble's $54.99 app-controlled bone rolls, hops and spins for dogs. We look at runtime claims, the awkward pairing step and how long dogs actually stay interested.
Catit's 2 litre PIXI Smart runs a UV-C light three times a day and an app with filter and low-water alerts. The pump is quiet and the water stays clean, but owners report Wi-Fi pairing trouble and filters every month.
At $379.99 plus a plan, PetSafe's Guardian GPS 2.0 undercuts Halo on price and promises a small collar and long battery. Independent tests under trees and conflicting spec sheets keep it from an easy recommendation.
HomerunPET's Drybo Plus is a 50 L dryer box with no app, listed at $450. Independent tests dried cats in about 20 to 45 minutes, but it holds less, carries a shorter warranty and costs about $70 more than Petkit's Max Pro.
Cheerble's $44.99 self-moving ball runs about 3.5 hours a charge and rests on a timer. We look at the hard-floor noise, the chew limits and why it is no sitter.
