About Snoutbench

Snoutbench reviews the gadgets people buy for their pets: litter boxes that clean themselves, feeders, GPS collars, cameras, doors and more.

Every review is written by the Snoutbench Test Desk, a small team that lives with the devices it covers. A litter box goes into a home with cats for weeks before we score it. A GPS collar goes on a dog that actually runs off. We use the companion app every day, pay attention to what the subscription costs over a year, and write down what broke.

How we stay independent

Makers do not pay for reviews, scores or a place in the rankings. When a maker lends us a device, the review says so, and the loan does not change the score. We do not send drafts to makers for approval.

What we are not

We are not veterinarians, and nothing here is veterinary advice. Health monitors and smart bowls can flag changes worth asking about, but a vet should make the call on anything medical. Our reviews describe our own homes and animals; yours may get on with a device differently.

Questions, corrections or a device you think we should test? See the contact page, and read how we review for the full method.
