One list, sorted by our overall score out of 10. Scores weigh daily reliability, the app, running costs and how the animals took to the device; the review explains each one.
Whisker's Feeder-Robot costs about three times a basic Wi-Fi feeder. What you get is a 32-cup hopper, an anti-jam design, schedules stored on the unit and no subscription, but no camera and no wet food.
At $89.99 the Petlibro Granary keeps feeding on its stored schedule when Wi-Fi drops. We check the specs, the support pages and independent tests for what could still go wrong.
Petkit's $99.99 fountain pairs a 3 L tank and cordless UV-C pump with dishwasher-safe parts. We look at the 83-day battery claim, filter costs and what UV-C really does.
The Granary 2 Vision adds a 1080p camera and cat recognition to Petlibro's 5 liter feeder for $60 over the base model. Live view is free, but stored video and health tracking cost extra every year.
A microchip-locked bowl keeps greedy pets off prescription food. We cover the hub cost, the month of lid training, weighing accuracy and the app faults reviewers hit.
Petkit's $145.99 feeder holds two foods and watches the bowl with a 1080p camera. We test the idea for mixed diets and two-cat homes, and where it falls short.
The $89.99 Dockstream 2 is a cordless, pumpless cat fountain that logs how much your pet drinks. We looked at what the app can reveal, and where single-pet tracking runs out.
Petlibro's $99.99 Dockstream RFID tells up to five cats apart by collar tag and logs each one's drinking. It costs only about $10 more than the cordless Dockstream 2, but needs a wall plug, a collar and a short filter schedule.
PetSafe's $134.99 Wi-Fi feeder holds 24 cups and spreads bigger meals over 15 minutes in Slow Feed mode. That helps with gulping, though not as much as the name suggests, and meals of 1/8 cup cannot be slowed at all.
Petlibro's One RFID feeder costs $149.99 and opens its lid only for a collar tag. But it syncs with a single tag, reads no microchips and closes in one to five seconds, so it beats SureFeed on price only for one protected cat.
Catit's 2 litre PIXI Smart runs a UV-C light three times a day and an app with filter and low-water alerts. The pump is quiet and the water stays clean, but owners report Wi-Fi pairing trouble and filters every month.
